Studio 301

Today we are in at 301 studios in Sydney doing some live recording for an itunes session. 301 has a huge live room which we have set up in. Its massive space with high celling, timber floors and enough acoustic baffling to create a very open and live sound.. its one of those rooms where if you fart it will echo until the day aliens finally land to have their way with us..

We played a had full of tracks some off the new record and some not with just one or two passes at each then listened back and chose the ones we feel were the best.

Things sounded really good in the studio today.. it was all very relaxed and free forming.. good buzz. It may have something to do with the fact that everyone had a slight bender last night not that i’m endorsing such behavior but what ever works right?

There’s a lot to be said about self medicating..

Displaced Golden Pipes

Welcome to Radelaide. We landed at the airport and took full advantage to the free airport trollies which is the best thing about Adelaide’s airport.. packed the cars and headed for the hotel.
We were quite excited about the hotel we were staying at because it was rumored that the pool there was a glass bottom tank that hung off the hotel and above the street below but when we arrived it was closed due to the season.. bummer.

We were playing the Gov tonight in Adelaide. Its about an 800 cap room with a kinds semi circle low sitting stage. Its a great venue and we had a good show.. it was a Sunday night but i think Adelaide were still pissed.. hehe good on em.

The next show wasn’t for a few days so i thought i’d go out for a quiet drink with some good friends from A- town..

Some where something went horribly wrong…

The next thing i know i’m stumbling through the hotel lobby at 9.30am as the receptionist looks on with shame on you written on her face.

With 15 minuets till we leave this will be tough.

At the airport i’m a bit of a mess and my main man Boney Ryan has to keep me together or they wont let me on the plane… whoops

I pass out on the plane and wake up in Perth wishing i was dead.. cant wait till our next visit to A- town.

Hobart a Party?

We left Noosa where we had played a festival which turned into a frickin mud pit and its a good thing we stopped to buy wellys for everyone.. rip all yee white sneakers that lay caked in mud.

Now in Hobart with sound check out of the way its was time to frolic the local dining spots. On the way to a Japanese place we were heckled by a dunk and rowdy mob at a passing pub who were under the impression we were British India.. hehe funny shit..

It is Sunday night in Hobart and you wouldn’t know it if you were in this crowd.. they were loud as hell, shaking their ass’s and drinking like it was xmas.. yup good times all round.
