Birds of Tokyo headline Hurley Australian Open of Surfing

The 2014 Hurley Australian Open of Surfing is a mammoth nine-day event showcasing the world’s best surfers, skateboarders, music and art at Manly Beach, Sydney (Feb 8th-16th). The Channel [V] stage is back for two days of live music headlined by Birds of Tokyo for a free, all-ages gig right on the sand at Manly.

Birds of Tokyo will headline on Saturday 15 February, the same day that ARIA Award winning rapper Illy and Melbourne rockers Delta Riggs take to the stage.  [V] will be broadcasting live from the event across both days.

Inspired by the US Open of Surfing held in Huntington Beach, California, the Hurley Australian Open of Surfing returns to Manly and again boasts the top-rated 6-star men’s and women’s ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) World Qualifying Tour surf contests, men’s and women’s world junior star-events, and a world-class line-up of skateboarding talent.
