AUSSIE MUSIC ACTS READY TO ROCK THE GRAND PRIX

The 2011 Formula 1™ Qantas Australian Grand Prix Announces Music Line-up

Two of Australia’s most critically acclaimed rock bands, THE LIVING END, and BIRDS OF TOKYO  are geared up to deliver two days of rocking trackside tunes at the 2011 Formula 1™ Qantas Australian Grand Prix.

Birds of Tokyo will headline the newly amped up Sidetracked music festival on Saturday March 26 playing tracks from their coveted self-titled platinum No. 1 album, including massive crowd favourites ‘Plans’ and ‘Wild At Heart’.

After six ARIA Award nominations, plus a newly crowned title of ‘Band of the Year’ from the GQ Awards in 2010, Birds of Tokyo’s live show, which is currently receiving rave reviews on the Big Day Out tour, is set to shake up the GP crowd in March.

‘We’re thrilled to be playing at Sidetracked this year, it’s the first time we’ve played during the GP festivities so we’re really excited to have fun with the fans & check out all the awesome F1 action” says lead vocalist Ian Kenny.

Sidetracked will also feature a dazzling line-up of Australian live acts and DJs. Along with more acts soon to be announced plus unparalleled on-track action, the 2011 Formula 1™ Qantas Australian Grand Prix promises to be a heart racing festival in the fast lane!
