Birds of Tokyo to perform at Norwood Food & Wine Festival

The AFL is pleased to announce one of Australia’s most popular contemporary rock bands, Birds of Tokyo will perform at the Norwood Food & Wine Festival on Sunday 13 April as part of Gather Round…A Festival of Footy.
 
Known for their powerful anthems including ‘Plans’‘Lanterns’ and ‘Good Lord’, Birds of Tokyo will headline an expansive lineup of live entertainment throughout the festival, as footy fans and eventgoers alike enjoy some of South Australia’s best food and beverage offerings.
 
Held along The Parade, Norwood from 11.00am, the free Norwood Food & Wine Festival will showcase South Australia’s culinary culture and feature a host of dedicated watch zones for footy fans to tune into all the action from Gather Round throughout the day.
 
The festival will also see a host of other entertainment offerings for footy fans to enjoy, including the AFL’s Footy Festival live site at Norwood Memorial Gardens that will run on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April.  
 
Birds of Tokyo lead singer, Ian Kenny said the band looked forward to performing at the iconic event.
 
“We are super excited to be heading back to Adelaide for a festival of footy celebrating South Australia’s amazing food, wine, beer and spirits,” Kenny said.
 
“Birds of Tokyo has a long and special history with the AFL, and we’re proud to be extending that in Norwood as part of Gather Round.”
