Due to a scheduling conflict it is with regret that Birds of Tokyo’s management announced this morning at the band’s show at Newcastle Panthers on the 28th of January has been cancelled prior to its general public onsale this morning.
Birds of Tokyo guitarist Adam Spark added, “We were looking forward to playing in Newcastle again and want everyone there to know that we will definitely come back as soon as we can.”
Both the band and their management apologize to anyone who has been inconvenienced. Unfortunately the situation was unavoidable due to a change in touring logistics.
Birds Of Tokyo is playing the Big Day Out 2011 and tickets are still available to the second Sydney date of that Festival on January 26.
The very limited number of fans who purchased tickets to the Newcastle show in the special Mailing List Presale earlier this week will be offered a full refund from the place of purchase.
By way of further apology the actual purchasers of those tickets can also receive a special gift from the band by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Fans who send such an email will also be guaranteed an opportunity to purchase tickets for Birds Of Tokyo’s next headlining Newcastle show when that is eventually announced at some point in 2011.
